Born in 2009 and raised between London, Paris and Tunis, Hedi Triki began his musical life at the age of five.
Today he studies piano with the Venezuelan pianist Clara Rodríguez at the Royal College of Music's Junior Department in London, with cello as a second study under James Halsey; he is also principal cellist of the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle symphony orchestra. His repertoire moves freely from Chopin and Beethoven to Lecuona and Carreño. His interests extend from chamber music and jazz to conducting, which he studies with Robert Hodge and Howard Williams.
He has won various first prizes at international competitions such as the Berlin Grand Prize Virtuoso and WPTA Italy, others in London such as the Ealing Concerto competitions and RCM own Piano Competition “Angela Bull", and has twice been third prize winner at the London International Chopin Competition — a competition that shares jurors with the main Warsaw Chopin Competition — with distinctions for Nocturne and Mazurka interpretation.
